Our Mission
Though our name has changed, our mission has not. We’re continuing our longstanding commitment to help North St. Louis’ most vulnerable in The Ville neighborhood with holistic care for people in need of a safe place to heal. What began as a day shelter has grown into a comprehensive case management organization. We remain steadfast in our vision to continually broaden our services to respond to the evolving needs of our community, providing hope and a place like home, which now includes medical respite care.
Our Offerings
Medical Respite
Medical respite – or recuperative care – provides acute and post-acute care for those experiencing homelessness who are not ill enough to require a hospital or skilled nursing facility, but who are too ill to return to the streets. Patients are provided with seamless medical care and discharge support to help them heal, and medical systems will benefit from:

Housing Assistance
We help those in need find both temporary and permanent housing, guiding them through the process to ensure stability. Our support includes help with:

Income, Employment & Social Support
We help with employment and vocation programs, application for financial assistance and financial management services. For those who may need connection to community resources and social support networks, we can offer contacts in the legal and public benefits systems.
Healthcare , Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services
We help people improve health literacy of chronic medical conditions, assist with enrolling in healthcare programs, management of appointments and transportation to healthcare facilities. Individuals can find support through counseling and therapy for mental health issues, substance use treatment, and by connecting with addiction specialists.
